First letter home

Family,

Oh my heck!! This is crazy!! That lady in line was very nice. She wanted to help me through the line and we talked about missions. Her daughter went to Florida too, different mission though. (I noticed a lady in the line at the airport talking to him)

The flights were okay. They were long, but I survived. There were about 25 missionaries on the first one and about 50 on the second. There were four of us going to Tampa so that was cool. We were greeted at the airport here in Mexico. I don´t know how to express how crazy it is here. It is a completely different world. We saw a man, completely painted silver, I mean completely, and he was juggling torches in the middle of the road. Everything is in Spanish. People just sell stuff to people in cars. I am blown away. But I love it here.

It has only been a couple hours here and I am shocked. I can read some signs and understand most of it, but everyone is talking so fast and I feel completely hopeless with this language. It is crazy. I will definitely learn fast. I will have to. I love it here so much. The food is weird though, but it is good. Most of the workers do not speak English so it is difficult, but we figure it out. I do not have a companion yet, and I will get all my materials and my tag right after I send this email.

I have no idea what to write. This culture shock is overwhelming, but it is so amazing. I have already made friends and I am super excited to get to work. I love you all so much and I will miss you, but I am already too busy to be homesick. Share my love with everyone. I will write again as soon as I can.

Love, Your Missionary, Elder Moyes
